Arnie, a 12 year old male apricot poodle recently

adopted from the North Country Animal Shelter.

Arnie's teeth and mouth on presentation to the Animal Clinic of Malone. The tartar and halitosis were so severe that you could not even see the teeth under all that tartar and calculus.

After pre-anesthetic blood work was performed to make sure Arnie was fit for anesthesia, Arnie was anesthetized, intubated, and an ultrasonic dental scaling was performed by our vet tech, Rachel to chip and scale the tartar off his teeth.

Arnie's teeth and mouth after fifteen teeth were extracted by Dr. Stevens.

Arnie has a new lease on life with a clean mouth and gums now.

New dental machine now used to perform dentistry's.  It has a dental scaler, ultrasonic high speed drill with light source, dental polisher, and air and water flush valves, just like the machine your dentist uses on you!

Dental charting of Arnie's teeth after extractions performed by Dr. Stevens

The final appearance of Arnie's mouth after all teeth were extracted and the cleaning and polishing were

completed.

Teeth extracted from Arnie  - all were loose or badly infected.

Arnie's teeth and mouth after dental tartar and plaque ultrasonically removed. The teeth were then polished with a dental polisher. The loose and badly infected teeth can now be detected and extracted.
